fall-tv-guys-2008-tv-guideThis week’s TV nights are filled with many new series premieres. So many that I won’t be able to get to all of them. I’m afraid I’ll turn into more of a couch potato than I already am, if I DVR ALL the new shows. So instead I have picked at least one a night to sit down, watch, dissect, and write about.

Monday night make sure your TV is turned to CBS at 8:30 pm to watch the new series, “Accidently On Purpose.” Jenna Elfman stars in the new show about a single woman who finds herself in a pickle after a one night stand with a much younger boy!

Yep she’s PREGNANT!

Billie (Jenna Elfman) decides to tough it out with her younger man and see if they can’t raise this new addition together! Her friends, his friends, and her boss (ex-boyfriend) round out the show to make this plot that much more interesting!

Tuesday night get ready for the new drama, “The Good Wife” on CBS at 10pm. Julianna Margulies (ER) stars in this new drama as a mom and wife to a corrupt politician who finds himself in jail after a very public sex scandal. Almost sounds like reality TV! Julianna’s character Alicia Florrick must pull herself together and start over. She joins a law firm after being out of the practice for over twelve years. Can she make it in the public eye after her husband tarnished their name in scandal? I guess we’ll have to watch to find out!

Wednesday night finally looks like it is shaping up to be a must watch TV night. There were two new shows on Wednesday that I couldn’t pick just one, so I will be watching both plus of course Glee as well. First off will be “Mercy” the new nurses drama on NBC at 8pm. Veronica Callahan a new nurse at Mercy is just returning from a tour in Iraq. We’ll see the life, love, and trauma that goes on in this hospital through her eyes! NBC just loves their hospital dramas. Hopefully this one is as good as ER was!

Then we’ll turn our dials to ABC for a new comedy, “Modern Family” at 9pm. Ed O’neil former “Married With Children” dad stars in this new drama about the many facets of families today. He has grown children, grandchildren, and a young new wife with a pre-teen son. According to the TV trailer this show is, “One Big Straight, Gay, Multi-Cultural, Traditional, Funniest New Comedy of the Fall.” The trailer looks hilarious! Can’t wait to watch!

Thursday night make sure ABC is turned on at 8pm for the premiere of FlashForward. This action/drama looks to entertain for the full hour. A mysterious global event gives the world’s population a look into their future. Can they change or alter what their destinies hold? I guess we’ll have to watch to find out! Don’t miss this Global Event!

Make sure to follow up with my reviews of all five of these shows this week! There are many other premieres as well, so check your networks website to see what else is playing! I couldn’t get to all of them in one week. This looks like a great fall for new shows! Have fun watching!

  • I really want to see Mercy and Flash Forward. Out of all the new shows I saw. I am still iffy on if I want to see The Good Wife yet or not. I have my DVR Set this whole week! I hope Mercy is as good as ER was too. I am going to miss ER.
  • Thanks for the tips! Of course if I can't get to all of them I'll have to pull them up on Hulu.com or Youtube to watch this weekend :)
