One of the joys of having kids is getting to watch kids’ shows guilt free. I sometimes I think I like some of their shows more than they do. One of these shows is WordWorld. I love the characters, all of whom are built out of the letters that spell their names, as well as their houses and the landscape.
The humor is infectious, the music is catchy (I find myself singing the songs while doing things around the house). There are also characters kids of all reading levels can relate to, Dog, who doesn’t talk, Duck who gets letters confused, to Bear who is a good reader. The PBS Kids’ website has different videos each day, so they might not always have WordWorld there, but the site has interactive games for the kids to play. There are also suggestions for activities to do with your kids that relate to the episodes.
