While Haiti isn’t as frequently in the news as it was a few weeks ago, the problems the Haitian people face haven’t gone away. I love that Patricia Arquette has been tweeting about going over to give hands on help to the people in need. She’s not the only TV star to do so, either. While they aren’t getting the attention from the press that the big name stars like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt get when they fly in, plenty of other television stars, like AnnaLynne McCord from 90210, are there pitching in and helping out, too.

Here are a few things Patricia Arquette talked about on her Twitter page on @PattyArquette:

Can you imagine that being what you see when you step off the plane? I would be paralyzed trying to figure out what to do first. Shoes, glass, shelter, fresh water? Being her typically big hearted self, Patricia Arquette is trying to work on all of it.

Even though they want to help everyone, starting with a goal like this 3.500 person tent camp and then working to reach it keeps them from doing a little here, a little there and not finishing anything. Smart idea and I’m hitting the retweet button.

I love that she seems to remember every detail. I also love that she’s back home shooting film and still working to help the Haitian people. Testing water, buying rakes and planning to return to help some more.

I’m glad Patricia Arquette took the time to tweet about some of the things she saw and what she plans to do to fix them. Those short tweets tell a story better than hours of interview time on talk shows, don’t they? I’m also glad that she and many other TV stars are still helping out with money and time. It can be too easy for us to forget one tragedy as we move to the next one, but the victims still need help.

And to finish on a lighter note, here’s Patricia Arquette showing us what goes on behind the scenes in a recent Medium episode called How to Beat a Bad Guy:

My opinion about the Haiti crisis is not exactly the same as some so to avoid misunderstandings I will not be leaving an opinion about that. I did however, enjoy the behind the scenes clip, you kind of really get to see how much work goes into these shows!

  2. I think it's great that entertainers are going over to help the people in Haiti or just the people in need. It would be great if some of the celebs got the press to also pay attention to the “regular Joes” who have taken time off from work to give aid as well.

  3. Okay, I'm nosy – what's your take on it? You can PM if you like. My take on most things isn't the same as everyone else's so I won't be offended. :-)

Thanks so much for noticing all the good things that Patricia Arquette is doing and for bringing it to others' attention. It's so shocking to hear of the conditions that people of Haiti are living in, but it's refreshing to see someone of Patricia Arquette's stature doing something about it, and not jumping up and down for a pat on the back for it either. Kudos to her and to her organization. Check out their website @ http://givelove.org .
