Keifer How I Love Thee

Today is Things I Love Thursday. While Keifer isn’t a thing, 24 DVD’s are. In all honesty I am still in mourning. Next season won’t be the same without it. I love that I can still keep Keifer on my screen though the creation of DVD’s.

Thank God for DVD

While I still mourn the thought of never seeing Jack Bauer on Fox Monday night, I can relive all eight days on DVD. Season eight hasn’t been issued a release date yet but Amazon is taking pre-orders. My Christmas list will include that DVD. How I love that show. Best action show on TV, in my opinion.

Were you hiding under a rock and missed all 8 seasons? Here’s a recap.

Season One: Begins and ends at 12:00 AM on the day of the California presidential primary in Los Angeles. Jack Bauer’s protocol is to protect Senator David Palmer from an assassination plot, and rescue his own family from those responsible for the plot, who seek retribution for Jack’s and David Palmer’s involvement with a covert U.S. mission in the Balkans.

Season Two: Begins and ends at 8:00 AM in Los Angeles. Jack must stop a nuclear bomb from detonating in Los Angeles, then assist President David Palmer in proving who is responsible for the threat. This is necessary to avoid an unfounded war between the United States and three Middle Eastern countries.

Season Three: Begins and ends at 8:00 AM in Los Angeles. Jack must stop a nuclear bomb from detonating in Los Angeles, then assist President David Palmer in proving who is responsible for the threat. This is necessary to avoid an unfounded war between the United States and three Middle Eastern countries.

Season Four: Begins and ends at 7:00 AM in Los Angeles. Jack must save the lives of his new boss Secretary of Defense James Heller and Heller’s daughter Audrey Raines (with whom Jack is romantically involved) when they are kidnapped by terrorists. The same terrorists then launch further attacks against America.

Season Five: Begins and ends at 7:00 AM in Los Angeles. Jack is believed to be dead by everyone except a few of his closest friends. He is forced to resurface when some of those friends are murdered and he is framed for the murders.

Season Six: Begins and ends at 6:00 AM in Los Angeles. Jack is released after being detained in a Chinese prison for twenty months. Terrorists plot to set off suitcase nuclear devices in the United States and Jack must stop them. Later, Jack has to choose between his loved ones and national security.

Season Seven: Begins and ends at 8:00 AM in Washington, D.C. Jack is assisted by the FBI and old colleagues after a major national security incident occurs when the firewall responsible for protecting America’s government computer infrastructure is breached by the same people responsible for a conflict in Sangala. Jack must then secure evidence to begin their arrests, some of whom are within President Taylor’s administration.

Season Eight: Begins and ends at 4:00 PM in New York City. Jack is about to leave for Los Angeles with his daughter, Kim, her husband and her daughter Teri when he is brought in by CTU to uncover a Russian plot to assassinate Islamic leader Omar Hassan during peace negotiations with U.S. President Taylor. Later, Jack must seek retribution for lives lost amidst a governmental cover-up initiated by former president Charles Logan and approved by Taylor.

I Love the TV Blogging World

Michael Ausiello

Michael used to blog for TV Guide but then made the switch EW Online. Of course I decided to stalk follow him over to EW. He is the King of TV gossip. He is funny, to the point, and loves loves to tease you with him knowledge. I visit him on Facebook and follow him on Twitter.

Clique Clack TV

I just discovered this blog the other day and love it. There re a team of bloggers that write about every show on TV I think. There is a great recap section in case you missed an episode. One feature I like is their chat. Looks like they host events and chat while a show is airing. I hope to catch one or two of these in the future. Follow them on Twitter and Facebook.

The TV Chick

I want to be Alix Sternberg. She is one die hard TV chick. She has a site full of TV interviews, giveaway, and some cool flashback shows recaps. I mean who doesn’t love a good 80′s flashback of 90210 or Boy Meets World. I really enjoy reading her interviews and I am only a tiny bit jealous of that. She is a must follow on Twitter.

Army Wives

Army Wives is such a great show. Most Army shows are shown from the stand point of the soldiers rather then the families that are left behind. I believe this show address many important issues that face Army families.

About the Show

Army Wives follows 5 families and how they cope when their loved ones are deployed. Four wives and one husband share their dreams, struggles, and a bonding friendship over their loved ones being in the Army and being deployed.

The Families

Claudia Joy Holden (Kim Delaney) is the den mother. Married to General Michael Holden (Brian McNamara) and head of everything on post is also a mother of two. She had gone from dealing with the death of a child to dealing with her husband being deployed after years of being on post.

Denise Sherwood (Catherine Bell) is a mother to one and wife to Frank Sherwoon (Terry Serpico). She is dealing with not only her husband being deployed but her son. This season she will welcome another Sherwood to the family.

Roxy LaBlanc (Sally Pressman) is wife to Trevor LaBlanc (Drew Fuller) and mother of two. She meet Trevor and married in within weeks. She runs the Hump Bar and doesn’t take flack from anyone. Roxy is as honest as they get.

Pamela Moran (Bridget Brannagh) WAS married to Chase Moran (Jeremy Davidson) who is in the special ops divison of the Army. Like many families in the Army, divorce is high. For Pamela, Chase’s job of being gone all the time and not knowing when he will be back took it’s toll

Roland Burton (Sterling K. Brown) is married to Lt. Colonel Joan Burton (Wendy Davis), a full time dad and a psychiatrist. Being the only man of the group doesn’t shy him away from asking for help when needed. This season he is dealing with Joan’s PSTD, which again is a common problem among Army families.

Who do I see as Rizzoli’s boss Monday night on TNT’s Rizzoli and Isles? Oh yes, Donnie Walhberg.

Right there makes it worth watching. I was a NKOTB fan way back when but a life long Donnie fan. What would make the show twice as yummy would be if his brother Mark was side by side with him. A girl can dream can’t she?

Glee is one of the best shows to hit TV in a long time!

When they aired the pilot 4 months before it actually premiered I was totally bummed. Why you ask? Because I had to wait 4 months for more. I fell in love the moment it started.

Gleeks are fans of Glee.

They are considered glee geeks, gleeks for short. Fan sites have sprouted up everywhere. Gleek is spreading all across Twitter and Facebook. Glee is one of the most tweeted about shows!

Celebs are Gleeks too

Glee loves to host celebrities on their show. Kristin Chenoweth and Neil Patrick Harris are just two that have guest stared on the show. Jimmy Fallon, Daniel Radcliff, Ashley Greene and even Michelle Obama is rooting for Team Puck.

The Music

This show is jam packed of musical talent. Artists like Madonna and Lady Ga Ga have shown they are true gleeks by allowing their music to be in the show and sung by this fantastic cast. You can find all of their music on three different soundtrack, of which I own ALL of them.

The Crew

Nathan Ford (Timothy Hutton) – Group leader who was a former insurance agent. He got involved in the con when his former employer refused to pay for his sons treatment the could have prevented his death.

Sophie Devereaux (Gina Bellman) – A grifter who uses her acting skills for the better. She can portray any character they need. She also has a confusing relationship with Nathan.

Elliott Spencer (Christian Kane) - The good looking muscle of the group. His title “retrieval specialist” allows him to use his bone crushing skills.

Alec Hardison (Aldis Hodge) - Gadget and technology extraordinaire. He can tell everything about the con in a matter of seconds. He is the center of the group for making it a success.

Parker (Beth Riesgraf) – A very odd off centered thief that gets a kick out of repelling from building and squeeze into tight places. She can move like a cat and never be seen.

Season Three

Just started in July, the team has managed to break Nate out of jail, save a country western singer from getting ripped out, and saved millions from a death drug. All done Leverage style, this season isn’t a show to miss. Catch it on TNT on Sunday night at 9/8C.

Monday, July 12th

The Closer on TNT 9/8C

Brenda Lee Johnson is back for season six. With her southern accent and her cute ways, she will make you talk. The criminal team is the best LA has to offer. Find out what is in store for the high crimes department this season.

Rizzoli and Isles on TNT 8/9C

This brand new show kicks off with a great cast. Angie Harmon plays Boston cop Rizzoli and Sasha Alexander plays medical examiner Isles. Together they make a great team. Somehow they always seem to work together to figure out who done it. Despite their differences, they are best friends. With a great supporting, this show can’t go wrong.

Tuesday, July 13th

White Collar on USA 9/8C

Oh Matt Bomer it’s so good to see you again! Season two kicks off with the ongoing mystery of where in the world is Kate. While still wearing his fashion accessory, an ankle tracker, Neal continues to help Peter solve high theft crimes. Will Neal finally find his true love Kate? The bigger question might be, is Peter involved? Tune in for another great season of mystery.

Covert Affairs on USA 10/9C

I love Piper Perabo ever since I saw her in Coyote Ugly. I am excited to see her on TV. This girl next door could be a lethal weapon. New to a secretive branch of the government, her assignments can turn from routine to rogue in seconds. Taking on the challenge of her new job, she realizes that she much live a double live. Find out how Annie Walker handles it all.

Pysch on USA 10/9C

This witty and hilarious show is like no other. Shawn is pawning himself off as a psychic when in fact he is very observant of his surroundings. Teamed up with his BFF Gus, they help the Santa Barbara solve crimes. This show is a must see. There is a pineapple in every episode, can you spot it?
