Family TV Addicts

If you were once a member of a glee club, it may finally be safe to actually admit it.  If you haven’t already seen the new hit show “Glee” on Fox Wednesday nights at 9pm, then you need to check it out.  Just like your kids, you’ll be singing and yes dancing on your couch as you watch the adult version to High School Musical!

Last night’s episode was filled with humor and of course song and dance.  Mr. Schuester a teacher who is in charge of the glee club, decides to fulfill one of his many high school dreams himself.  He decides to take a break from the glee club and start his own boy band.

They call themselves the “Acafellas.”

They consist of a shop teacher who accidently cuts of his thumbs in shop class because he drank too much cough syrup, an overweight gym teacher and a guy who does the inventory at Sheets and Things.   The pressure becomes too much for two of the members once they find out they will be performing at the PTA meeting. Mr. Schuester fills the two spots with the high school quarterback and a student preying for all you mom cougars.

Meanwhile the glee club is in despair without their leader.  They can’t seem to keep the group together without their beloved Mr. Schuester.  Long story short after a song filled car wash, a PTA meeting that rocked the house with the Acafellas singing “I Wanna Sex You Up,” and Josh Groban making a guest appearance to give the fifth unofficial member of Acafellas a restraining order and message from his not so small bodyguard to leave Mr. Groban alone, Mr. Schuester decided his boy dream was just that a dream.  He eventually went back to the glee club and all were happy to be singing and dancing with Mr. Schuester as their leader again!

Not sure where next week will take us, but I am sure it will reprise some of your favorite tunes and make you giggle uncontrollably!  I just love it when they break out into song!  If you feel like singing right now, let me know.  Talk to me if you’re a closeted glee club member like myself!
