Sunday nights Brothers and Sisters on ABC was another tear jerker.  Kitty finally broke the news to the rest of her family that she has stage 3 Lymphoma.  With two possible treatment options, one in LA were her family is and a more aggressive approach in Boston, Kitty must make a difficult decision.  As usual the Walker family wants to make that decision for her.  During a typical family dinner everyone gets into a fight and ends up arguing over Kitty’s treatment options while she sits alone at the dinner table.   At least they left her the wine!

After weighing the options herself, Kitty decides to stay in LA where her family and support system is.  At the end of the show, the door bell rings and Kitty is pleasantly surprised to see her best friend and sister Sara, has returned from France.

One thing I found strange about this whole show was, where was Evan (Kitty’s son)?  Now I know babies sleep, but they don’t sleep that much!  I don’t know why I kept thinking about this, maybe it’s because I am jealous that Kitty actually has time to work on the computer or have a family meal without little kid interruptions.  However, I know life with babies isn’t that easy.  TV makes it look so simple!

Next week will break away from the sob fest and take us on Sara’s trip through France.  The previews show a beautiful French man wooing Sara with wine and charm.  I wonder if Sara has Mr. French man stuffed away in her suitcase, or if it was just a traveling fling!

If you missed the episode you can watch on Hulu!

I wanted to share with you three of my three favorite bloggers and why I enjoy them so much.

Theta MomThe True Authentic mom!  I have a lot in common with this blogger.  First off she was a public school teacher prior to becoming a WAHM.  I too was an elementary school teacher prior to staying home fulltime.  I like Theta mom because she gives me hope as I am starting out on my new journey of being a WAHM.   If she can do it, hopefully I can too!

The Wannabe WAHM - The wannabe WAHM is a great blog and a semi-newbie like me.  She’s got a great website filled with tons of information for you as a newbie.  I found most of my blogs to follow from her very extensive list.  It helps when someone else has already done the hard work of searching for you!  Plus I love her because she loves my favorite movie, “The Notebook” and one of my favorite books, “The Alchemist.”

Pajamas and Coffee – I love this blog because it is so darn funny!  I always know where to go if I need a little sarcasm and humor!  Trust me you’ll laugh for sure.  Give this blog a whirl!

tvThis is going to be another great week of TV watching.  I want to share with you at least one must watch show for the week!  I’ll be tuning in, so should you!  I challenge you this week; what one ne w show that you never thought you would watch.  My challenge show is The New Adventures of Old Christine on CBS Wednesday nights at 8pm.

  • Sunday night I’ll be watching Brothers and Sisters of course!  My favorite show about the wacky wine loving Walker family.  The show is on at 10 pm on ABC.  If you have never seen it, check it out.  This one especially is going to be full of drama when Kitty shares her cancer news with the rest of the family.
  • Monday night Trauma on NBC at 9pm.  The best new hospital drama out there.  This is a very close second to the infamous ER that is!
  • Tuesday night I’m going to give The Good Wife one more shot before I erase it fro the DVR must see list.  This show is on CBS at 10pm.  I hope it brings the drama and goodness this time.  Don’t get me wrong it’s a good show, but just lacks a little pizzaz!
  • Wednesday night is my challenge night that I mentioned above!
  • Thursday night I am going to watch FlashForward on ABC at 8 pm.  I sure it will be another thriller.
  • Friday and Saturday nights I leave for catch up!  I catch up on old DVR events and watch reruns of some of the top shows from the networks that they show again!

Well that’s what I’ll be watching this week.  Don’t forget to take my challenge!  Let me know what show you watched and how you liked it!

The Good Wife on CBS Tuesday nights, is still hanging iThe Good Wifen there.  The pilot series has shown three episodes, and so far they have all been OK.  What I mean by “OK” is that is isn’t fantastic.  I don’t count the days down until Tuesday night so I can watch another episode like I do with some shows.  However, it’s still entertaining!

The Good Wife stars Julianna Margulies, who is the wife of the former state attorney of Illinois.  He’s currently serving time for a very public sex scandal!  Alicia (Margulies) must move herself and her two kids out of their prestigious neighborhood and into a city apartment.  She also has to take a job as a lawyer, which she hasn’t practiced in over twelve years.

In this episode her past neighborhood and friends that left her hanging when her husbands sex scandal came out, come back into the picture.  The son of one of her closest “friends” or at least she thought was a friend, came to Alicia in need of a lawyer to represent him in a felony murder case.   His parents were not excited about Alicia trying the case, but their son was eighteen and able to pick his own counsel.  What looked like a slam dunk case for the prosecutors, didn’t end in the same fashion.  Through extensive research, investigation, and not settling for any plea bargain, Alicia was able to prove that he didn’t commit a murder and that he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Like I said before, its a good lawyer drama, but it isn’t spectacular.  I hope they can spice it up a bit!  If you want to watch go to Hulu!

I was crying before the first commercial break! Kitty (Calista Flockhart) broke the news to her mom (Sally Fields) that she has cancer: lymphoma! All Kitty and myself could think about was what would happen to Evan her new baby adopted last season, if she dies! I can’t imagine being put in those shoes as a mother!  Watch below to see how Kitty reacts to the most dreaded phrase I could imagine, you have cancer!

As usual there is always a lot going on in the show, it didn’t end with Kitty’s news! Scotty finally told Kevin why he had reservations about adopting a child. He was scared that they both work too much and they wouldn’t have time for a kid! Ryan, (William Walker’s son from an affair) is giving Ojai’s financial statements to a strange man in a restaurant. To round it all out you have Robert trying to save his campaign after the governor leaked his heart attack last spring. After much needed damage control, all looks good on the campaign front.

Now back to Kitty! She only shared the news with her mom and Robert. Kitty was afraid that Robert would only want to work on their marriage now, because of her cancer. Robert reassured her that he loved her and would stand by her with or without cancer. So good news there, it looks like their marriage is finally going ok!

The ending is really what killed me. I couldn’t help but think back to Sally Fields performance in Steel Magnolia. The funeral part of the movie in particularly, when she is so upset that her daughter died before she did. Once again we see Sally Fields confiding in her brother that Kitty has cancer and she doesn’t want her to have to do this! How awful for a mother or parent to have to worry about their child having cancer. I can’t and don’t want to imagine what that feels like!

Next week should be another ripper, as Kitty prepares the family for what is in store for her! I’ll be watching! Will you?

I think we’ve found our ER replacement.  Forget about all thetrauma1 other hospital dramas out there.  This one is the real thing!  The first episode was good, but the second episode was even better.  Only good things can come from this!

This episode once again brought the action and drama.  At one point in time I was covering my eyes from the trauma and the next I was crying!  Always something exciting is around the corner.  The main trauma on this show was a man that drove through a crowded street fair.  Many were injured.  Of the five traumas that we saw, four lived.  The EMT’s worked frantically to save each and everyone.  The three major traumas included the driver of the car, who apparently suffered a stroke, a man with a broken tibia and major bleeding, and a mom with an extreme head injury.  The first helicopter had to make the life or death decision to either take the driver or the man with the broken tibia.  They chose the man with the stroke.

Did they make the right decision?

Although it seemed like the right medical decision to make, it proved deadly for the man with the tibia!  He coded in the second helicopter on the way to the hospital.  The mom with the head injury also wasn’t a happy ending.  She is basically a vegetable now for her son and husband to care for.  Although there was some glimmer of hope at the end when you see her squeeze her sons hand.  That’s when I started bawling!

Next week will be just as great.  If you want to watch this episode got to Hulu!

There’s only one new show premiering this week and its kind of a watch at your own risk. CBS’s new Trauma Three Rivers starts this Sunday at 9 p.m. This is another hospital drama about doctors doing organ transplants. I am not sure how many more hospital dramas we need, but CBS feels we need at least one more. The reviews for the show aren’t good, but I’ll give it at least one shot and let you all know.

This is what else I’ll be watching this week!

Sunday: Three Rivers on CBS at 9 p.m. and Brothers and Sisters on ABC at 10 p.m.

Monday: Trauma NBC at 9 p.m.

Tuesday The Good Wife CBS 10 p.m.

Wednesday There’s so many options! I’m not sure what I’ll be in the mood for just yet. Here are my options on ABC at 8:30 is The Middle. Then at 9 p.m. you have Modern Family followed by Cougar Town at 9:30 p.m. Plus you also have Glee on Fox at 9 p.m. and Law and Order: SVU on NBC at 9 p.m. Wednesday’s used to be the blah nights of TV, but not anymore!

Thursday FlashForward at 8 p.m. on ABC

Friday/Saturday I use my Friday/Saturday nights to flip through the networks and catch up on replays of the weeks shows that I may have missed and didn’t have time to wath on the internet.

cougCourtney Cox stars in ABC’s Cougar Town on Wednesday night!  Jules (Cox) recently divorced and mom to a teenage son, feels out of the loop when she doesn’t have a 20 somethings war story to share.  That’s because she was too busy raising her son whom she had at 22 while everyone else her age was living it up.

To make up for old times, Jules decides to have a 20’s weekend with her 20 something co-worker.  She lived through night one of the weekend, with many incriminating pictures to prove it.  Night two wasn’t so successful.  Her nasty hangover, sore leg from trying a “position” only younger girls can and should do, and hot flashes required her to take an early exit.

Although she didn’t make it through two nights of reliving her twenties, she still walked away finally with a war story to share.  She got kicked out of a bar, kissed a woman, and got into her first fist fight, which she won.  She also ate pancakes at 4 four in the morning.

Next week Jules reaches her mandatory tenth date with her young boy toy before they can, “get it on.”  Will her boy toy be as good as she thinks he will be?  Will he come back for date eleven?  I guess we’ll just have to watch to see.

traumaNBC’s hit new drama on Monday nights, Trauma, is definitely exciting.  This show is filled with action as a group of EMTs in San Francisco work hard to save their critical victims.  They must be careful because sometimes the trauma hits to close to home and puts their lives in danger!  Whether its an EMT helicopter crash or a gas tanker exploding where they are caring for their victims from a car crash, these EMTs see some serious action daily!

Not as good as NBC’s ER, but still a good second.  If you like to see lots of blood and action then this is the show for you!  At some points its was almost too much for my pregnant stomach, but I guess that’s what makes the show so real.

If you missed the show you can watch it here!

flash-forward-tv-show-1FlashForward the new hit action/drama show on ABC’s Thursday night at 8pm is going to be around in the future.  The show starts out with a catastrophic event that affects every person in the world.  Everyone at the same time blacked out for two minutes and seventeen seconds.

During that time everyone had a flash forward look into their future for the day April 29th, 2010.  Those who didn’t have a vision can only assume one thing, they were dead on April 29th 2010. The remainder of the show was people corroborating about their visions and some hoping to change the future.

I am so excited about this show.  I have to admit that all the hype made me wonder if this show was actually going to be as good as ABC was trying to make it out to be.  However, I was pleasantly surprised and now plan on watching FlashForward in the future.

What would you do if you could see the future?

Basically, a look into the future scares the heck out of me.  I don’t want to know what’s happening before it happens.   Tell me what you think about having a flash forward of your future.

Watch the show here!
