My Answers To The Friday Fill-In!
October 31, 2009 by Stacey de Wet · Comments
If I could be famous I would be Phoebe from Friends .
If it’s Wednesday I am watching Way too many shows to list, but definitely Modern Family and Cougar Town.
Missing my favorite TV show is worse than getting a root canal done at the dentist.
When my favorite show ends in May for the season I cry hysterically and start a countdown until premieres start in September.
I was the most emotional when Family Ties ended because I grew up watching them and felt like I was part of their family.

Link Love: GSPN.TV
October 29, 2009 by Traci Price · Comments
My link love posts usually consists of at least 3 links of sites that I like or have discovered over the past few weeks. This week I have to devote this entire post to only ONE link.
I must spread the word about a family that I have been listening to for over 3 years. I discovered their Grey’s Anatomy Fan podcast first. I would listen every week and totally agreed with a lot of views they had about the show. Then I started listening to “The Full Time Mom” podcast.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about these two ladies. I listen to their voices and hear their deep friendship and their love of their husbands & children and it just “calms” me. As a full time mom myself I am able to relate with most everything they talk about. I feel like I know Stephanie Ravenscraft & Sarah Rader, I feel like they are friends.
Clif & Stephanie have several other podcasts within their gspn.tv community including but not limited to “Family From The Heart”, “The Full Time Mom”, “Grey’s Anatomy Fan Podcast”, “Private Practice Fan Podcast”, “Biggest Loser Fan Podcast” & the new “TV Talk Podcast”
I am such a fan of this couple and their respective co-hosts that I have become an official Plus Member in their “community” tonight!
Flipping Out Reunion Show
October 29, 2009 by Traci Price · Comments
Jeff Lewis’ Valley Oak residence was the stage for Tuesday night’s “Flipping Out” season 3 reunion show, hosted by Andy Cohen. Jeff began this reunion show with much sarcasm, which I have come to understand takes place in order to cover his emotions. He admitted that he didn’t want to do the reunion show but felt that he needed to in order to gain a 4th season from Bravo. He joked about needing a 4th season in order to finally alienate his remaining family & friends.
Andy brought up a lot of subjects while recapping this season.
- What cocktail of medications is he currently taking? None & he has never been on any meds.
- Is he single? No. He has been dating someone for just under a year.
- Does he really ban people from going #2 in his house? He doesn’t “ban” it, but he really discourages it, he usually instigates a campaign of embarrassment for the individual who chooses to relieve himself in his house.
- Why does every team lunch have to have a “sacrificial lamb“? Jeff really likes to tease relentlessly and usually chooses one person during the morning to single out at lunchtime. He sees no problem with it since the rest of the staff really enjoys the teasing episodes.
We were able to see a few “never before seen clips” from Flipping Out. In the first clip Jenni & Jeff were driving and Jeff drives straight into her driveway. Surprise!, it took him 10 months to figure it out but he finally put the pieces together. He teased Jenni with a famous line “it’s like the firm, you can never leave”.
The real highlight of this reunion show was the confrontation between Jeff Lewis & Ryan Brown. Read more
Don’t Go Falling In Love!
October 29, 2009 by Stacey de Wet · Comments
Whatever you do don’t go falling in love when dating a Cougar! On Cougar
Town last night on ABC at 9:30 pm, Josh confessed to Jules that he had fallen in love with her. This coming after Jules made him promise that he would never do anything silly like that! How could he have broken the first rule when dating a Cougar, don’t fall in love! Well Jules had to do what she had to do. She couldn’t allow this loving relationship to continue so she broke up with him. Josh heartbroken, stood in the rain outside her window to try and win her back. It worked for the night, but the next day Jules did it again and this time it was final. She broke up with Josh and finalized their booty calls as officially over!
Josh was devastated but was consoled by another much older Cougar at the bar. I am sure he’ll have another snuggle buddy at least for the night!
Now that Jules has gotten rid of her boy toy I wonder what she’ll do next. Whose her next victim going to be? I guess I’ll just have to watch to see! You can catch up on old episodes at Hulu!
The Simpsons On Air For 20 Years!
October 28, 2009 by Stacey de Wet · Comments
It’s hard to believe that those wacky Simpsons have been on air for 20 years now. I still remember when they started and how so many people thought their humor and antics were to crude to be in a cartoon that kids could see. Well Someone must have liked them because they’ve been around for 20 years now. Not only that but in those 20 years they have won 24 Emmy
awards. That’s incredible for a cartoon! The Simpsons now have the honor of saying that they are the longest running comedy show in television history!
On January 14, 2010 They will celebrate their 20th anniversary with an all out Simpson style episode. Get your 3D glasses out because the show will be in 3D and on Ice! Don’t miss this episode on Fox! I know I’ll be tuning in!
In the meantime you can watch new episodes of the Simpsons starting November 15th on Fox at 8pm.

An Upbeat Brothers and Sisters!
October 27, 2009 by Stacey de Wet · Comments
Brothers and Sisters took a break from the sob fest episodes they have recently had. Finally, we were laughing and enjoying the Walker’s crazy parties and family fights. In this episode Sarah returns from France in time for Kitty to start her chemo treatments. To get Kitty’s mind off of the “C” word, Sarah tells her all about her French love affair with an artist named Luke. Instead of telling Kitty the real reason why she returned home, which was because she found out Kitty had cancer, she made up a lie and said she caught Luke cheating on her. Still Kitty enjoyed the story and decided France would be her first trip when she felt better.
The next morning a knock on Sarah’s door brought her French romance to California! Luke had followed Sarah back to California! With Sarah’s children returning home that afternoon, Sarah felt it was best for Luke to stay at her mother’s house. Luke made himself right at home and brought dance parties, swimming parties, and all the Walker’s to Nora’s house to sneak a peek at Sarah’s over the top attractive French beau! Nora wasn’t so thrilled about his presence at first, but overtime she too was enjoying the French visitor!
Next week’s episodes looks to be another fun episode with Tommy returning from his stint in Mexico. I still don’t understand why he was in Mexico so long, but hopefully we’ll get some answers when he returns! Plus, the French hunk is still around. It’s worth watching just to drool over him! If you missed the episode make sure you watch at least the pool party scene and you’ll understand my drooling comment!
Feet will take you places!
October 27, 2009 by Erika Silva · Comments
“Franny’s Feet” This show can be seen on the PBS Kids network. It is an animated show and only 11 min. long.
The main character is a little 5 1/2 year old girl, named Franny who goes to work with her grandfather. Franny’s grandfather is a shoe repairman and is bought a new pair of shoes to repair each episode.
Whenever grandpa puts the customer’s shoes in the basket, Franny tries them on. When she puts her feet in the shoes she is magically taken on an adventure to someplace the shoes have been before. The origin of the shoes determines the location of her adventure. She may go to Jamaica, Alaska, Australia or other places around the globe. On her trip she learns about a new place, meets a new friend and helps to solve a problem while she is there.
Franny is a very likeable cahracter, but I do feel bad that she just sits at her grandfather’s shop all day. AND….does Franny not know about Athlete’s Foot?? Why would she try on every single pair of shoes that come into the repair shop? Ewww Franny!! But in all seriousness this is a cute show, and not only for girls or shoe-lovers.
