One of the biggest shows of the last few years has been Lost.  If you came in on the middle of it, it is very confusing. It can be confusing even if you watched every episode – more than once.

I found a site where you can watch it all the way from the beginning for free through Season 5.

Lost is full of fascinating characters, great story telling, mystery, love stories, adventure, humor – something for everyone.  So jump in with both feet and get Lost.

3…2…1…Penguins!

July 31, 2009 by Shari · Comments

The creators of VeggieTales created another hit with kids (and parents) with 3…2…1…Penguins! This show on Qubo features twins Jason and Michelle and their crazy adventures with four funny penguins while staying with Grandma for the summer.

The kids are shrunk and pulled into the miniature ship with Captain Zidgel, Pilot Midgel , Scientist Fidgel and Kevin.  On each of the missions with the Penguins the kids learn an important lesson, such as telling the truth, getting along with others, and other good character traits while helping various aliens of different worlds with their problems.

The characters are fun and the kids can relate to the sibling issues of Jason and Michelle as well as the issues the Penguins find themselves dealing with.

Qubo – more than just Kids’ TV

July 28, 2009 by Shari · Comments

QuboOne of the things I love about Qubo is that it’s more than just shows for my kids to watch, either on tv, or on the internet.  Qubo shows reinforce good values, like friendship, honesty and respect.  It also reinforces the need to read, as many of the Qubo shows are based on children’s series.  It’s great that the kids can expand on the adventure by picking up a book with these familiar characters in them.

So after exploring some of your kids’ favorite cartoons at the Qubo site, have a treasure hunt to see which of the books you can find to read together.

Ronnie, Ronnie, Ronnie… We Don’t Like You

ronnieDarn it Ronnie.  We wanted to like you.  You’re a Geek’s Geek – the kind of character that people love to love on Reality TV.

But you’ve overplayed your hand.  You aren’t showing good game.  If you just slowed down a little bit you could still be in with at least part of the household – but no, you’re like a bull in a china shop.

It will be interesting to see how Big Brother Season Eleven progresses from here.
