Sex Scandal And Lies – The Bachelor Starts Off With A Bang
I finally had some free time to sit down and watch the last two week’s of The Bachelor. Wow! I was going to recap the season premiere but let’s cut to the chase and talk about the second show. In all the seasons I’ve ever watched The Bachelor I’ve never seen it kick off with a bang like this!
I knew I didn’t like Rosayln from the get go for a reason! But I still had to pull my jaw up off the ground when Chris pulled her aside before the second rose ceremony (mind you she had already been given a rose by Jake on one of the dates so she was safe from elimination!) to talk to her about her ‘inappropriate relationship’ with one of their staffers – or should I say ex staff member? I was floored that she acted like it was no big deal. I felt so bad for Jake as he talked to all the girls about the situation. He seems so genuine and sweet. I actually found myself tearing up!
I love The Bachelor!
I can’t imagine what the rest of the season will have in store for us. Then again there’s nothing that can top this!
The V’s Have Landed!
ABC’s new show “V” made it’s debut last night at 8pm. I was surprised that it wasn’t an exact remake of the original miniseries. For example the characters were all different. In the original the leader is Dianna in this one it’s Anna. I expected them to keep the same characters considering it’s a remake and not a spinoff. The premise was the same, but obviously the speed of the story line was revealed much quicker in this new series. Originally the miniseries was more like a movie and took time to reveal the plot. In this episode we met the aliens and were made aware of their reasons to be on Earth immediately. No messing around! They want to get onto the Alien versus Humans war.
First it is thought that the aliens have come in peace. Everyone is excited for their presence and are sure that this will be good for our world. However, Erica Evans, an FBI agent thinks differently. She starts investigating and meets underground with some rebels who inform her of the aliens real reason for being here. They show her a passport photo of a terrorist she remembers. Only she is now informed that not only is he a terrorist, but he is also a V (alien).
With their secret revealed the V’s claim that they have been visitors here for years and living amongst us. They have been responsible for unnecessary wars and conflict. These wars and conflicts were caused to try and weaken the humans so that they could take us over easier. The V’s inform us that we are now weak enough for them and they’re ready to take us on!
I liked the show, but just expected it to be more like the original. The special effects were obviously a thousand times better and so was the action. I’m just a little partial to the originally because it reminds me of when I was a kid! I will definitely continue to watch and see what the aliens do to us! I’m still bummed we only get four episodes though and then they’re taking a break until March. What did you think of “V”?
TV Show Idea
I’m watching The Biggest Loser, and it got me thinking.
One of the main concerns of people and programs is about kid’s obesity. The rate of childhood obesity is soaring. Schools and restaurants seem to be trying to get kids moving and making healthy food choices as well.
So….why don’t they make a Biggest Loser- kids edition?? They could tape it during the summer while kids are on break, and make it like a “health camp” style show. They could learn food preparation, get counseling and work out with trainers. Now, it may not have to be as grueling as the one for adults, but kids need the education to stop their un-healthy habits.
What do you think? Do you think there would be a better show to help get kids educated??
Totally Talented Tuesday: Jimmy Fallon
Today I decided to participate in a blog meme called “Totally Talented Tuesday”. Since this blog is mainly about television, and in my case Reality TV, I wanted to show you someone I think is the most talented comedian around.
I have loved Jimmy Fallon since his very early days. I used to watch him on Saturday Night Live every week but as most of you know, once you become a parent the late nights seem to be reserved only for sleep or feedings. Jimmy’s new show “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” is still too late for me to watch but I have been able to catch up on Hulu.
This parody he has started doing on “The Real Housewives” series cracks me up everytime I see it. I hope you enjoy Jimmy Fallon’s Talent.
Be Careful Who You Sit Next To!
You never know, but the person sitting next to you in the doctors office could be an alien or a V from ABC’s new series “V” which premieres tonight a
t 8pm. The V’s as they are called look just like you an me. Look at the picture to your right. Would you ever think she was an alien if you saw her walking down the street? ”V” is a remake of NBC’s 1983 scifi miniseries. Unfortunately I was unable to preview the show for you, but I did find two other bloggers that were fortunate enough to watch it before it premiered. The reviews are mixed! Click on the links to read for yourself.
Hopefully, ABC can produce something good because there sure is a lot of hype about this show. They were even going to use a plane to write a large red V in the sky of 26 major cities across the nation tonight, but due to pollution complaints ABC pulled the plug on this promotional stunt.
Don’t forget to watch or set your DVR for 8pm tonight on ABC! Let me know what you think tomorrow!
Get Ready For The Aliens Arrival!
The aliens are arriving on ABC’s Tuesday night’s new premiere of “V” at 8pm. V was originally a miniseries in 1983, that ABC has remade for our viewing pleasure. The aliens claim to be coming in peace and bring hope to many people that they will be good for our society. A few however, including FBI agent Erica Evans, believe differently. She reveals a secret about the aliens or V’s as they are referred to that threaten the lives of everyone on Earth.
V will only be on for four episodes this fall and then return in the spring. I do not like it when networks do this, but there is obviously a method to their madness for getting their viewers hooked and then making them wait in agony for a new episode.
If you want to catch up on the old miniseries, V is being played on the SciFi channel all day today and tomorrow. Check your listings for the exact times.
Discover the Fun
The Discovery network has always been a great learning resource. They also have a great kid-friendly website.
Discovery kids online has a list of their shows, tv schedule, fun & games, and videos to watch. One of the more familiar shows is Bindi the Jungle Girl. Bindi Irwin is the daughter of the late animal adventurer Steve Irwin. She now has her own educational show teaching kids about animals.
Another show I wanted to spotlight was Trading Spaces Boys vs. Girls. Just like the adult version the kids have to work together to transform a room with the direction of an Interior Designer.
Discovery Kids has many animal-related educational shows. Some animated and some using real actors/people. They also have shows that are just for fun & enjoyment. Visit the website and let your kids watch shows and play some fun & educational games.
Real Housewives Reunion Show: Part 1
Bravo TV aired the part 1 episode of “The Real Housewives – Atlanta” on Thursday night @ 10pm. Needless to say there were many viewer questions that host Andy Cohen had to read through and despite his repeated attempts at getting the girls fired up, they seemed to be very unexcited about it all.
Kim & NeNe claim to have buried the hatchet.
I’m not so sure I believe them (they both looked a little demure), but if this is the case then ‘Que Sera Sera’. I speak from experience when I say that it takes too much energy to stay mad at someone & if you’re gonna have to work together then you might as well be civil, right? Read the story »
